With this project, I want to show you another way how to use your digital scrapbook layouts in a hybrid project. This unique wall decoration was made by using two printed layouts and some “real stuff”. The branch e. g. was found at the same beach were the photos were taken. I took it home knowing that I`ll use it some day
Supplies list:
- two printed digital layouts. To create mine, I used Theresa Hernandez`s Beach Day, Birds of Feather and Naturally Eco . All kits are available in her NDISB store here.
- 2 pieces of corrugated cardboard
- gift wrap paper
- double-sided adhesive tape
- awl
- thread
- small sea shells with holes
- bast fibres and wire
Step 1: I measured the size of my layouts and cut out two larger pieces of corrugated cardboard and even larger pieces of gift wrap paper to cover them.

I covered the cardboard with the gift wrap paper and glued it on the back with strips of double-sided adhesive tape.

Step 2: I placed each printed layout in the center of a covered cardboard piece and also glued it with strips of double-sided adhesive tape. With the help of a positioning device and an awl, I punched small holes around my layout.

Step 3: While sewing through the punched holes with thread, I beaded some small sea shells here and there.

Step 4: I connected both pieces with bast fibres and I used wire to connect them with the branch.

This is the final result

I hope that I`ve inspired you to create a unique wall decoration, too!
